I'm looking around at...sweater vests (yeah, my bad) and moving to look at jeans when an older lady, clearly doing Christmas shopping for a grandson or someone like that, asks me if I know where coats are.
"Er...I don't know"
"Oh, do you work here?"
"...no."
I definitely shop at Old Navy too much.

No.. what is absolutely awesome.. is when you're in Home Depot.. and someone comes up to you and asks you about where something in Home Depot is.. then you say.. uh, I don't work here. But, they notice that you work at Target.. and they are delighted to find this out..
..so they ask something about the return policy there. Then ask you some more questions about their husband's Christmas present.. from Target.
..just one of the many joys of working in retail.
